Since 2014, Tanya (Paskemin) LaRose has been a licensed REALTOR® in Saskatchewan receiving numerous accolades for sales production and community involvement. She is a member of Sweetgrass First Nation, and having grown up on the reserve, she is able to understand the intricacies of socioeconomic equity with real estate. Over the years, with much time integrating various philanthropic avenues into Tanya LaRose Realty Prof Corp, Tanya continued to identify extreme polarities between the mainstream real estate industry and the Indigenous population of Canada.
Polarities resulting in gaps for the effective agency, advocacy, and education needed to create foundational equitable means for the Indigenous population of Canada to participate in the mainstream real estate industry in the most effective manner. In 2026, the federal governing body for real estate in Canada, the Canadian Real Estate Association (CREA), granted licensing rights for the word REALTOR® to be streamlined for the Indigenous population across the country.
The Indigenous Association of REALTORS® (IAR) was created by Tanya as a tangible act of accountability to Truth & Reconciliation between the Canadian real estate industry and the Indigenous population of Canada. After years of establishing operationally as a Top Producer, Tanya brings a rich network of community contacts throughout western Canada in both the residential and commercial real estate industry. Her professional achievements include the "YWCA Women of Distinction" Award for Community Building, the #1 Individual in Saskatchewan for Donations to the "Royal LePage Shelter Foundation", the inaugural "Innovator in Residence' at the Saskatchewan Indian Institute of Technologies, the Royal LePage Top 2% Award for sales production in Canada, a real estate scholarship for Indigenous students in business, provincial development awards, establishing a mentorship program for Indigenous youth, as well as numerous speaking engagements such as the CBC National Radio.
Her philanthropic contributions include Crystal’s Gift, a non-profit that re-homes gently used furniture to single mothers fleeing domestic violence which operated for seven years. Tanya has also served on the Board of Directors for Wanuskewin Heritage Park and the Core Neighbourhood Youth Coop which she currently Chairs.
